Ilmavo ShiftPilot
ShiftPilot Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 May 2026
Version 1 of ShiftPilot is designed as a local-first app. It does not require users to create an account, and shift data is intended to remain on the user's device unless cloud backup, analytics, crash reporting, maps, or other third-party services are added or enabled.
1. Introduction
Ilmavo ShiftPilot is a personal shift planning, travel reminder, break tracking, and earnings estimation app developed by Ilmavo. This privacy policy explains what information the app may handle, how version 1 is intended to store shift data, and how future features may affect data use.
2. Information users enter into the app
ShiftPilot is designed around information entered by the user for personal planning. Depending on the features used, the app may store:
- Shift details
- Job or company names entered by the user
- Shift title
- Dates and times
- Work location, address, or postcode entered by the user
- Travel preference
- Estimated travel time
- Arrival buffer
- Hourly rate
- Break duration
- Paid or unpaid break status
- Estimated earnings
- Completed shift history
- User notes
- App settings and reminder preferences
3. Local-first storage
Version 1 is intended to store shift data locally on the user's device. It does not require login, account creation, employer access, or cloud sync. If cloud backup, accounts, or syncing are added in the future, this policy will be updated to explain what changes and what choices users have.
4. Location information
ShiftPilot may use location-related information only for user-requested features such as checking travel time, route checking, using current location, or opening maps. Version 1 should not use continuous background location tracking.
The app is not intended to secretly track users. If location permission is requested, it should be connected to a clear action chosen by the user. Future company check-in or check-out features, if added, will require clear consent and a separate explanation.
5. Notifications
ShiftPilot may send local reminders for upcoming shifts, preparation time, leaving time, alarms, and shift-related alerts. These reminders are designed to help users manage their own schedule.
6. Analytics and crash reporting
If analytics or crash reporting are enabled in the app or website, they may be used to understand performance, fix bugs, and improve the service. If Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or similar tools are used, data may be processed by those third-party providers according to their own policies.
7. Maps and third-party services
If maps, routing, or travel-time features are enabled or used, shift location or route-related information may be processed by third-party map providers such as Google Maps or similar services. These providers may process information under their own privacy policies.
8. Employer access
Version 1 is a personal app. Employers, agencies, clients, or companies cannot access a user's personal shift data through ShiftPilot unless a future company or team feature is introduced and the user chooses to join or agree to that workspace.
9. Data sharing
Ilmavo does not sell personal data. Data may be shared only where needed for service providers that support app features, analytics, crash reporting, maps, legal compliance, security, or user-requested services.
10. Data deletion
Users should be able to delete local shift data from inside the app. If account, cloud backup, or sync features are added in the future, account deletion or cloud data deletion will apply only to those future features, and users will be able to contact Ilmavo to request deletion of account-related data.
11. Children
ShiftPilot is not intended for children under 13 or the relevant minimum age in the user's country.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as ShiftPilot develops and app features change.
